Encrypted lists

Encrypt your list, don't leave it open

Upload the list to any host and hand out only the address and a key. Without the key, the file is useless.

How it works

  • Your list never leaves your device. It is compressed and encrypted (AES-256-GCM) in the browser. Our server only hands out a fresh key and never receives the list.
  • There is no decryptor. This page only encrypts. The key you get is new every time; it is not stored and cannot be requested again, so write it down.
  • The apps open it on their own. iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Mac and Android detect the encrypted file and use the key, storing it securely on the device.
What it protects and what it doesn't. It stops a leaked or forwarded address from being used without permission: without the key it won't open, and the key alone is useless without the app. It is not DRM and does not replace real authentication: anyone with the app, the file and the key can read the list. If you lose the key, encrypt the list again.
